This book was published in 1976.  It was the first book published on the American Pit Bull Terrier since Denlingers Pit Bull or Staffordshire Terrier, published in 1948.  It is hard to believe, but Pit Bulls were but little known in that time.  There was an effort in that book to gain a little acceptance for the breed and to separate it from the Staf.  The book contains black and white photographs only, but there are substantial amounts of them, along with text outlining all aspects of the breed.
